2009 - 2010

“Shining Brightly, Touching Lives Around the World”

WELCOME to the NAEOP Higher Education Council website! If you are new to our association, please take a moment to visit the entire NAEOP web site and see what NAEOP offers you with our many exciting opportunities and articles of interest. You won’t regret it!

THEME: NAEOP President Pam Posey has selected “Shining Brightly, Touching Lives Around the World” as her theme for 2009 –2010. Her symbol is the lighthouse, the guardian of the oceans. A lighthouse shines brightly for those in need of direction and to provide a source of hope when the conditions are less than perfect. Our lives are like the oceans, full of peaks and valleys, sometimes needing a steady source or focus to help us along the way…to give us hope. Lighthouses are beacons of hope and strength and ever present, even through the storms of life. We can shine our own light onto others and help them navigate a difficult course as we encounter them at work whether student, staff, or parent. Stay the course!

MEMBERSHIP: As a current member of NAEOP, you are automatically a member of one of the six Councils: Elementary, Middle School/Junior High, High School/Career Technical Education, Administrative, State Department, and last, but certainly not least, Higher Education. When you join NAEOP, you have joined an outstanding group of dedicated educational professionals. All of the councils fall under the Membership Committee that is chaired this year by Vice President Allie Faye Matthews, CEOE.

BENEFITS: Take advantage of the benefits that NAEOP has to offer!

• At every NAEOP Annual Conference, there is an opportunity for higher education professionals to come together for their own breakfast and program. This is a unique council breakfast meeting where council members can take part in discussions, network, exchange ideas, share common concerns/goals, and celebrate successes. We can “Have fun and get the job done!” Come and join us this year from July 5 – 9, 2010 in Kansas City, Missouri.
