Welcome to the State Department Council page! I invite you to become a member of the National Association of Educational Office Professionals and the State Department Council, the only national professional association for educational office personnel. As an “active” member of NAEOP you will reap the many membership benefits from networking with fellow State Department of Education office professionals, sharing job experiences and offering ideas and suggestions.

Did You Know?

• When you are employed in a State Department of Education and join NAEOP you are automatically a member of the State Department Council.

• At every NAEOP Annual Conference there is a council breakfast/meeting where council members network, exchange ideas, and share common concerns/goals. Come and join us July 5-9, 2010, in Kansas City, Missouri.

• Networking is a skill that can be learned. By networking at our State Department Council breakfast at the annual conference, you will learn about building relationships and making connections with educational office professionals from around the country.

• As a State Department Council member, you will receive the tangible benefits of membership as listed on our “Membership” page. What are the intangible benefits that you want to receive? More self-confidence in dealing with people? Growing your leadership skills? Improving your organizational skills? Personal and professional development awaits you as you begin your journey as an essential part of NAEOP.

• Join others from Delaware, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Vermont, and Virginia in our council meetings.

President Pam Posey’s theme “Shining Brightly, Touching Lives around the World” encourages members to continue to spread the great news about NAEOP membership and to promote the four points of our national association, Information, Service, Recognition, and Fellowship.
