Calling all Future Leaders

If you are looking to become a leader in an association or just beginning your journey in a leadership position, this class is for you. We will walk you through the steps for your success in leading into the future ~

During this class we will have interactive discussions with others in your same positions regarding how to help your association thrive, recruiting members, establishing a board, and so much more!

Bridging the Communication Gap

As you begin a new position, or transition to a new one, what are some of the most important things you can do to start the job off right? It seems like such a simple question with a very simple answer. Sadly, communication can break down from the very beginning if you do not have a list of items or information to talk about. Let’s explore what an important list would look like.

Planning workshops for a professional development day or conference? It can get a little overwhelming trying to stay within a budget when planning a conference or PD day. Join me for ideas and resources to help you not only stay on budget, but offer absolutely awesome sessions for your attendees! You’ll learn where to look and who to ask. You will be surprised where you can find quality people for public speaking engagements! An event’s success hinges on your presenters! We’ll also take time to share ideas that have offered you success with your conferences.

PSP-What is in it for me?
Learn why you should apply for the certification and how easy the application is to complete. Understand what the CEOE/CESE distinction is and how you can obtain yours. This session is meant to provide an overview of the program, ease of the application process and have fun while doing so!

Be Wise, Be Kind, and Be True to Yourself
During this session we will explore how and why we should "be wise, be kind, and be true to yourself" in 10 simple steps. During these challenging times, now more than ever, we may need reminded it is OK to take time for ourselves. We will discuss why YOU are important, how you can be wise, use your resources, be kind to others and especially be true to YOURSELF.

Cultivate, Motivate and Unite with YOU
Discover how to expand your skills as an educational office professional, and your personal and emotional growth. We will discuss how to bring your best self each day to the office, with family and friends. Participants will be encouraged to share experiences and examples of participation on an effective team and the importance of unity. This session is to learn how to Cultivate, Motivate and Unite you as an educational office professional, member of the association, and community member.

Mind Over Matter
Are you living in the now and present? Do you “smell” the rose when you take time to "stop and smell the roses?" Thinking of your future instead of being in the present moment? During this session, we will take the time to "stop and smell the roses" and embrace the now. We will discuss mindfulness and how to accept our thoughts and feelings without judging.

Organization & Time Management
Discusses ideas for at home & work on how to save time, be more efficient, what are things that waste our time at work & how to correct those. How organization helps with time management.

L.E.A.R.N. with NAEOP
There are five tenants to the NAEOP mission: Leadership, Education, Achievement, Recognition, and Networking. In this session we will explore how to L.E.A.R.N. in life and through NAEOP opportunities, including the Professional Standards Program (PSP). We will connect with colleagues and commit to learn through a variety of professional development opportunities.
